Today we’ve finally revealed the cover art of the upcoming new Ufomammut’s album.
It’ll be out in April at different times (first in UK, then in the rest of Europe and finally in the USA) and it’ll be called ORO.
As You probably know, it’ll be out for Neurot Recordings.
This will be the first part of the album, it’ll be splitted in 2 records and the second one will be out in september.
We’ve worked around the idea of “ORO” that is the italian word for “gold” and it’s the latin for “I prey”.
In the round logo leading in the middle of the cover, we’ve closed the title ORO, as You can see there are 2 circles (the 2 “O”) and a specular “R”.
The word comes back at the bottom of the cover too, where You can see the specular R in the upside down triangle (the one above the little Ufomammut logo) and a couple of “O” represented by the alchemic symbols of gold (a circle in a circle).
Then You can see another ORO inscription at the top of the 3 eyed goddess (in white).
And 2 “ORO” logos are at the 2 upper sides of the cover.
The name of the band in into a Oroborous frame (the serpent eating itself, symbol of the perpetual cyclic renewal of life) and a lot of other things fit the cover.
ORO explores the concept of knowledge and its power, the magical stream controlled by the human mind to gain control of every single particle of the World surrounding us. ORO is the alchemical process to transform the human fears into pure essence; into Gold.
