Swans – Color 1

Let’s go with the brand new poster of the Swans we’re realizing right now in our little Town, ready to ship it to Los Angeles.
There are a lot of inspirations in this print.
We’re going on with one of our favorite subjects.
We started years ago in the Cure print, with the shadow of the woman becoming a tree.
We realized an art print called “Ombra” years later.
Then we worked on the Calexico print, trees creating the shadow of a female body.
And then the Bloom one, that has also become a painting in the last weeks.
It was a woman becoming a tree.
The previous Swans poster featured a woman with a tree on her coming up on her body, in trasparency, like a tattoo or veins.
There was also the SunnO))) / Earth poster for their show in Torino, to be precise.
The tree and was the stroke creating the shape of a skull.

The tree linked to the human shape is a subject we really love, as You probably have noticed.
So, for this new poster we took inspiration from this and we tried to move on a new layout, working on something more stylish and cool.
Even if we’ve stained all the paper sheets with golden ink, to give them a old look, the layout is inspired by the Secession booklets, the title pages typical of Art Nouveau, european style. Like the Ver Sacrum illustrations, the magazine of the Austrian Secession, just to make things clear.
Bored enough?
Let’s go with the pics of the first color.

It looks nice, isn’t it?

We are also really happy about the stained paper.
It’s totally impossible to see it on the pics, but it glitters a lot.
Let’s try.

Wait, I’ve to give the camera to my cat.

C’mon little cat, take a pic.

mmmeeeeow

I know it’s difficult, but try.

mmmeeeeow

Good cat.
